Explore Tallahassee’s East Side

When planning a biking trip to Tallahassee, where you stay is as important as where you ride. Having earned the designation of the first Bike Friendly Hotel in town, the Holiday Inn Tallahassee East Capitol – University offers riders a bike washing station, permission to keep bikes in guest rooms, and easy access to trails just outside the front door.

The east side of Tallahassee boasts some of the most popular trails in the area. Start your day on the Fern Trail for a nice warmup ride over to Tom Brown Park, home to the Cadillac Trail (East & West). Considered one of the area’s “must-ride” trails, Cadillac is an intermediate course with several options that fall into the expert realm. Whether you’re a technical expert or aspiring to be one, these carefully mapped trails offer challenging rides for multiple skill levels. More difficult sections are marked with a Black Diamond, or Double Black Diamond Symbol, and intermediate skill areas are marked with a Blue Square Symbol.
